Car Overview

Description
The first-generation Ford Bronco, produced from 1966 through 1977, remains one of the most iconic and collectible American off-road vehicles ever built. Compact, capable, and unmistakably purposeful, the early Bronco was engineered from the outset for genuine four-wheel-drive performance rather than as an afterthought adaptation of a passenger car platform. The Ranger trim package represented the premium offering within the Bronco lineup, adding a higher level of interior and exterior refinement to the model’s rugged foundation. As the classic SUV market has surged in recent years, well-built first-generation Bronco restomods have become among the most desirable and sought-after vehicles in the entire collector hobby.
This 1974 example wears the rare Ranger trim and has been restored and upgraded as a capable restomod with just 1,280 miles since completion. The red exterior is complemented by heavy-duty off-road bumpers front and rear, fender flares, a hardtop, roll bar, chrome side steps, and a simulated hood scoop — a cohesive package that balances aggressive presence with practical protection. A lifted suspension, Ford 9-inch rear axle, and Dana 30 front axle with 3.50 gears provide a capable four-wheel-drive foundation, while 33x12R15 Nitto Trail Grappler tires on polished 15×10.5-inch aluminum wheels deliver the grip and stance to match.
Under the hood, the 302 cubic inch V8 has been fitted with FiTech electronic fuel injection, an Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, ceramic-coated headers, and a billet aluminum serpentine accessory drive — a well-sorted combination that delivers modern fuel delivery and reliability. Polished aluminum valve covers, a chrome air cleaner, and an aluminum radiator keep the engine bay looking as sharp as it performs. The drivetrain is completed by a 3-speed automatic transmission for relaxed on-road driving alongside genuine off-road capability.
Inside, the cabin has been finished to a high standard with reclining bucket seats, full carpeting, an upholstered headliner, padded dash, and Dakota Digital gauges behind a wood-rimmed aluminum steering wheel. Power steering, air conditioning, power front disc brakes, and power windows bring everyday convenience, while a RetroSound radio with Bluetooth keeps the entertainment modern without disrupting the Bronco’s classic dashboard character. This is a restomod built equally for trail duty and highway cruising, with the Ranger trim heritage adding a level of distinction rarely found in first-generation Bronco builds. Note: this vehicle is sold with a North Carolina Salvage Rebuilt title.
