Description
The 1963–1967 Corvette generation — known universally as the C2 or Sting Ray — is widely regarded as the most visually iconic chapter in Corvette history. Penned by Bill Mitchell with a sculptor’s eye for proportion, the C2’s long hood, tapered tail, and muscular fender flares created a silhouette that has never gone out of style. The convertible body style in particular remains among the most desirable configurations, combining open-air motoring with one of the most beautiful sports car designs America has ever produced. It is little surprise that the C2 has become one of the most popular platforms for high-end custom builds — its timeless lines adapt naturally to modern engineering.
This example is the result of a professional, year-and-a-half frame-off restoration that reimagined the car as a thoroughbred pro-touring machine. The exterior wears a custom silver finish complemented by a matte burgundy Stinger stripe — a combination that nods to Corvette heritage while projecting a distinctly individual character. A matching burgundy cloth top, Foose multi-spoke wheels in staggered 18 and 19-inch fitments, and subtle LED lighting details bring the presentation together with a confident, upscale presence that rewards close inspection.
Under the hood, a 6.2-liter LS3 V8 provides modern performance credentials in a neatly detailed engine bay with custom covers and polished intake plumbing. A 4L60E 4-speed automatic transmission delivers power to an independent rear suspension with 3.30 gearing and a limited-slip differential, while RideTech tubular control arms and adjustable coilovers at all four corners transform the chassis dynamics compared to any stock mid-year Corvette. Power-assisted Baer 6-piston disc brakes and a MagnaFlow exhaust with center-exit quad tips complete a chassis package built for real driving enjoyment.
Inside, burgundy leather wraps sculpted bucket seats, custom door panels, and a billet-trimmed console to create a handcrafted cabin that feels genuinely bespoke. A Pioneer touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, navigation, and a 1,000-watt audio system sits alongside digital climate control, heated seats, cruise control, and a backup camera with night vision — a suite of modern conveniences that makes this Sting Ray as practical as it is beautiful. With just 309 miles since completion, this Corvette represents a frame-off build of exceptional scope, ready to be enjoyed as the driver’s car it was built to be.
